I designed the architecture and developed a multi-role platform for Lively Rentals, providing dedicated portals for tenants and property managers. The system required careful planning to support complex workflows and user permissions while maintaining a responsive and intuitive interface for all user types.

Key features included a real-time messaging system between tenants and property managers, lease initiation and termination workflows with digital approvals, automated payment setup, payment history tracking, work order requests and management, and custom dashboards for both tenants and landlords. I also implemented a notification system to handle transactional updates and timeline events, ensuring users were kept informed of all relevant activity.

I led the production deployment, post-launch QA, and client training, ensuring the platform was fully operational and scalable from day one.

I led the architecture and development of a large-scale learning management system for RTI Institute, a platform supporting a complex ecosystem of courses, instructors, and students. My responsibilities included designing the core backend functionality, including course enrolment and tracking, automated quiz and exam marking, certification issuance, and progress-based access control. I implemented robust role-based permissions for instructors, students, and administrators, ensuring each user could access the appropriate tools and content securely.

In addition, I enhanced the admin dashboard to provide intuitive management of courses, users, and content, and developed a comprehensive notification system that delivers updates both via email and in-app messaging. This required careful planning to maintain performance and scalability, given the high volume of concurrent users and data-intensive operations involved in course management and assessment.

I led production deployment, post-launch quality assurance, and client training, ensuring a smooth handover and reliable ongoing operation. This project demonstrated my ability to architect complex systems, integrate multiple functional layers, and deliver a stable, high-performance platform tailored to the client’s operational requirements.

I led the migration from legacy Shopify Scripts to the new Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensions framework, ensuring long-term scalability and maintainability. To support this transition, I developed a custom Shopify app to manage complex discount logic, carrying out extensive testing in both alpha and beta environments before overseeing the production deployment.

Alongside this, I built custom product detail page (PDP) selectors, templates for different product types, and reusable Liquid sections to streamline content management and maintain design consistency across the site. I also developed a bespoke mini-cart that integrates seamlessly with Recharge for subscription upgrades and ReBuy for dynamic, behaviour-based promotional offers.

Optimised Core Web Vitals (CWV) and authored detailed consultation reports recommending performance improvements for a Shopify storefront generating over $1 million in monthly revenue.

I created a lightweight Shopify 2.0 theme with a primary focus on performance, designed as a flexible base for developers to build upon. The theme was optimised to ensure fast load times and seamless user experience while providing a robust foundation for future customisation.

As part of the project, I built the primary product detail page (PDP) selector, leveraging Shopify’s customiser feature and metadata to enable flexible, data-driven product presentation. I also developed a bespoke mini-cart that integrates with Recharge for subscription upgrades and ReBuy to display targeted promotional offers based on the products visited.

I was part of the team that delivered a full website rebrand for the hugely popular US restaurant chain, Sizzler, which receives over 500,000 monthly visitors. My responsibilities included developing the backend functionality for locations, menu, careers, and competition features. I also contributed to the front-end, implementing custom styling and building reusable component structures to ensure a consistent and maintainable user interface.

I was responsible for implementing the backend functionality for the locations and menu sections during Huckleberrys’ website rebrand. This involved creating dynamic content structures that allowed staff to easily update menus and locations via the admin interface.

I also contributed to the front end by building reusable components and designing layouts and styles for several static pages, ensuring visual consistency and responsiveness across the site.
